Making the decision to come to therapy is not easy. It takes strength. It takes courage. I want my clients to know how much I believe in the power of vulnerability, showing up, and the need to feel seen by those around you. It’s tough to be authentically you when you are unsure of what that looks like. if you are unsure that you will be accepted just as you are. It is brave to allow your walls to come down and admit that something needs to change because how things currently are is not working.
My clients feel and witness the emphasis I place on vulnerability. No one wants to be emotionally exposed. It sucks, but it’s necessary. I want to give my clients a safe outlet to give a voice to their feelings and emotions. I never judge. I believe it’s important to establish rapport, first and foremost. Without it, nothing will progress. I do not expect from my clients what I am unwilling to do myself. I am willing to be transparent, open, and honest.
At times you may feel alone and in despair. You ask yourselves, “how did I get here? What did I do to deserve this?” It can become isolating. But you don’t have to go through this alone. My specialties are relationship concerns, communication issues, self-esteem, self-doubt, and grief/loss. Know that your story is safe with me, and it is possible to change the narrative. Let's re-write your story together.
